What Our Students are Saying

A PDA of Utah education is different from any other dental school. The experience, knowledge, skills, and confidence each student gains are unique, strong, and priceless. But don’t just take our word for it—Here’s what our PDA students want you to know:

“This course has been an awesome experience. I was offered two jobs before the 12 weeks were over and I felt fully prepared to enter into the dental field. Not to mention how amazing the instructors are! Caybree and Katie were so helpful and spent time with each student to make sure we all felt prepared. PDA was the best decision I have made for my career!!”

  •  Ashlee Huntsman—2014

“I had so much fun in this course. The girls in my class were so great and the instructors were awesome! I am now ready to be a dental assistant! I have already had two job interviews and offered a job before I even graduated from the course!! If you want to be a dental assistant but don’t have 9 months of time to go, a 12 week course for PDA is the way to go!

  • Kailee Lyon—2014

“Participating in this course was the best decision I could have ever made for my dental assisting education. I learned so much and I don’t want it to be done! This course really helps with learning the procedures and everything you need to know in order to successfully get a job. Take this course! You won’t regret it!

testimonial“Practical Dental Assisting was one of the best decisions I made since graduating high school. It was such an amazing learning experience and it really have me the knowledge I needed to immediately start working in the Dental field. Going to class each week was never a hassle, it was actually fun! The teachers want you to succeed and will work with you one on one until you understand the topics you are working on. I had two job offers for two different dental offices the week before graduation, one of which was a head assisting position!
As a dental assistant I have had the opportunity to work with and meet some really amazing people. For me, the job never gets old or repetitive because I am constantly learning something new every day. On top of PDA helping me to become a valued dental assistant, it allowed me to meet other people who have similar interests who I have started lifetime friendships with!

This school was fast, affordable, and helped me to get a job that makes me feel like I am actually making a difference in people’s lives!”

“Attending Practical Dental Assisting of Utah was one of the best choices I have ever made. When the course first started I didn’t know how we were going to cram so much information in such a small amount of time. I was doubtful that we would be able to understand all of different procedures and memorize all of the different instruments. To my surprise, we were able to learn everything you could possibly need to know to become a successful dental assistant in the 12 short weeks. Since all the staff was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful, the learning environment was unlike any other I have experienced. The staff truly cared about each individual student’s success, and they did everything they could to help us achieve that. They made the lessons easy to understand, and they gave each student individual attention in the hands-on clinical part of the class. Since I was able to learn so much from this course, I got hired as a dental assistant just days after the course finished. I am loving my job, and I’m so happy that I made the decision to attend Practical Dental Assisting of Utah!”

“When I first started Practical Dental Assisting I was concerned I would never understand all of the instruments and procedures.  I didn’t think I could ever be one step ahead of the dentist, take x-rays, impressions, or do a prophylaxis. As the weeks continued I progressed and learned a ton! I felt like I was starting to get the hang of everything and it was all falling into place. Our admin teacher gave us a dentist to call and intern for so I took the time to call and schedule an internship. The first day the dentist had me assisting and learning all the steps in a procedure. I felt confident. With hands on experience, I learned so much more than I would have than just going to class. Interning was stressful and intimidating, but I am so glad I took the opportunity because after three days they offered me a job. I learned more and more each week of class and graduated confident in my skills. I am currently working four days a week and love dental assisting.”

  • Paige M. – Summer 2012

“I am so glad I chose Practical Dental Assisting. I was provided all of the training I needed to get into the dental industry and start my career. It was a great hands-on learning environment and a really positive experience each week. There was a wide variety of students in my class so I felt comfortable and eager to progress. My instructor was motivated to help us all succeed and I appreciated all of the one on one time she spent with each of us. It was well worth the financial investment and the once a week classes made it easy to accommodate my busy schedule. I’ve already recommended this program to several of my friends and will continue to!”

  • Brad K.—Winter 2010

“Practical Dental Assisting Of Utah was one of the best things to happen to me! I went into the program not knowing anyone and came out feeling like I had known these girls forever! My teacher Jana was so sweet and made sure we understood everything we were being taught. I love my job! I am 19 (18 when i graduated) and have matured so much! I wouldn’t have changed one thing about PDA! It was the greatest experience I have ever had! Thank you PDA! I don’t hesitate in recommending you guys!”

  • Sydney P.

“My experience with PDA was awesome! The instructors are great, and really take the time to help you understand everything to your needs. It was very hands on making it easy to learn the material that was needed to be learned. Everything was taught in a very thorough matter, in a way that was easy to learn. Classes were small making it easy to become a “family” to help each other and learn together. The facility is a great, with the dental office feel. I learned so much about dentistry, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at PDA. Great school, great staff, and great people!”

  • Jake M. —Winter 2010

“I am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to attend Practical Dental Assisting of Utah! I learned so much about dentistry and about myself. The staff was amazing and was always there to help in any way they could. I have never been a good classroom learner but at PDA of Utah I learned wonderfully! The classes were small so you could really have one on one time with the teachers and the “hands on” learning really helped me to succeed! If I had to suggest any dental assisting program I would definitely suggest PDA of Utah!!! I loved it and will always be a fan!”
